“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” 

Hebrews 11 is often referred to “The Hall of Faith”. Filled with amazing stories of those who lived in complete faith of a promised Saviour, before He even came. We have the privilege of being on the other side of the story of Redemption. Because of this, we have examples in scripture that we are able to follow, so that we can learn from their mistakes even as we make our own. Serving in the context of youth ministry is very much the same. Each week, students from a variety of ages, schools, backgrounds, interests and home situations, will be seeking satisfaction in many different forms. Yet we know this satisfaction only happens in Christ. Our desire in Redemption Youth, is to meet each student where they are, teach them from our own mistakes, teach them how to study God’s Word, and most importantly, to point them to the gospel at all times.
